Buchetta del Vino
The Wine Window of Renaissance Florence
Noun · Italian · /bu·két·ta del ví·no/
A small stone opening carved into the façade of a Florentine palazzo, built from the 14th century onward to allow noble families to sell wine directly from their cantinas to the street, discreet, elegant, and entirely Italian in its ingenuity.
Not every bar station needs to look like a bar station. The most memorable ideas are often the ones rooted in place, culture, and story.
When we design a wedding, we are always looking for ways to bring real Italian character into the celebration, not in a predictable way, but in a way that feels intentional, layered, and alive.
For Malia & Abhay’s white Italian party, we did not want the usual aperitivo setup. No standard drinks table. No obvious spritz corner. Instead, we took inspiration from Florence’s centuries-old buchette del vino.
We reimagined that idea for the cocktail hour.
So instead of wine, we designed a custom installation where guests could walk up to two little windows and order their cocktail: Spritz on one side, Negroni on the other.
A playful, immersive nod to Italian history, transformed into a guest experience that felt both meaningful and fun.
It was engaging, unexpected, and unmistakably Italian.
And that is exactly what we love most about wedding design..taking something deeply rooted in a place and turning it into something unforgettable for a celebration.
For us, design is never only about beauty but about creating moments with identity, atmosphere, and soul.
If you are drawn to weddings that feel layered, intentional, and full of personality, you may already be speaking our language. Swipe to see how the concept came to life
