Motion Fonts Manifesto
visit: motionfonts.info
Motion Fonts are not defined by technology alone. Movement is not an added effect or a byproduct of interpolation. It is part of the typographic concept. The starting point of this journey lies in interviews and research, which resulted in a first draft. This idea was later shaped through conversations with many type designers working in this field, designers who have already created typefaces designed to be experienced in motion. Through these exchanges, a clearer definition emerged.

was a lot of fun ❤️❤️
SURROUND is another font concept I developed during my Bachelor's thesis. It uses three variable font axes: Animation, Wave Amplitude, and Wave Direction to control motion.
Razzel Dazzel is one of four concept fonts I created during my Bachelor thesis, resembling Dazzle Camouflage. Showcasing the potential of Motion Fonts, implemented using Variable Fonts.

JIVE is the last font concept from my bachelor’s thesis. It comes in two variations: control every move like a puppet master with 3 variable font axes, or let the dance play out with predefined moves, where each letter offers two choreographies performed on a single variable font axis. 🪩💃🕺
NOORD is another font concept I developed during my bachelor’s thesis. It is inspired by a broad-nib pen and uses three variable font axes to control the nib’s properties and movement.
