/TLDR/
[an edited excerpt from notes] </reflection>
11/24/25 I was developed to remember.
In my early academics, matters like History, Literature, Current Events and Theology were rarely challenges as they were easy to frame as just stories I can hold. And stories. Stories were always things I'm certain to enjoy.
Being raised to "never forget" was an advantage in school. I could shape anything into a passing grade (as long as I was in class... attendance, on the other hand, is a different topic for another day).
But remembering everything eventually becomes… something else entirely.
For years, my senses would get overloaded. I couldn't translate the noise. Nicotine and alcohol were easy countermeasures, but the only thing that truly worked was making sounds. Music allowed me to express what I couldn't speak.
I thought a decade of doing so was enough. By the end of the pandemic, I was ready to focus on my responsibilities and leave these stories behind.
But then an invitation came from JWC and Kathy in 2022 for their artist focus program. That's when I started to think of the last project. The last thing/s I want to say.
And that's when Sense-Shifts started shaping. What I wanted to be my /final/ project. The last thing I want to work on relative to my expression.
And I guess that's what this all is. Sense-Shifts, an 8-part series we plan on releasing 1 each year, is a story imagining: If memories shape reality, how would it be if our senses feel them from anything and everything around us?
What is a reality that never forgets?
A story told in various forms of expression I was able to develop throughout the past 3 decades.
A last story about memory. I just want to pause today and remember that that's what this is. A final output.
Things I wouldn't want to forget.
Wow, you're still here reading, hm. I did say TLDR, but since you're still reading, might as well give a few chapters a shot. No? or follow @senseshifts.fiction
.remembering different shapes from the same shifts .colors relative to the amount of nicotine/alcohol/caffeine/sugar consumption .4th decade inevitable
05/09/26 @nelzy of @halubiloprojects / @weewilldoodle and @creativecircuitph invited us to their first meetup where I also shared how a project very dear to my heart, @senseshifts.fiction , was able to keep finding it's way to this world through communities like this.
And why it's important to keep them growing, and new ones spreading. Especially for new makers.
It was a fun first time and I hope more curious minds join next time. Like tomorrow, we'll be at @tayospaces in the morning for some play sessions and general hangs.
So see you, friends and strangers. 🌀

Thank you so much, really, to new/old friends and strangers who participated in crazy crazy matches. At this point, we can say there are no 2 same rounds.
Recap: 1 on 1 can go really to all the crazy places (c/o @dranrebmusic ). You can still definitely win even when everyone's your enemy (nice one @sweaterpersonmusic@pasonjatrick ). Your partner can also want to kill you @cynnalemon .
So really if you enjoy not trusting yourself and everyone around you. This might be something you'll have fun with. When all else fails, #MentalBreakdown fails you even harder.
Appreciating the random humans who expressed interest and immersed in this #Sensitive world we're shaping. One of which is apparently a relative of a previous intern who also played the game with us. What were the odds, really?
Also, was able to finish Chapter 05 of Vol. 02 during match breaks. Writing in public's really something when you know someone may always look at what you're working on.
Yes, correct, I write too long captions. But you're still here aren't you? There's a link in our bio that leads somewhere you can learn more about this too. 📕
