What started as an empty ground-floor space in the heart of the city became a vibrant hub for creativity, dialogue, and discovery. Over the past year, more than 5,000 of you walked through our doors to celebrate art, culture, and the environment.
This space was always about transformation: turning a meanwhile-use site into something meaningful, something that could spark ideas and bring people together. Across five exhibitions, we explored urgent questions about technology, climate, materials, and community:
🎨 Move 37: Aftermaths and Alluvion – probing the intersection of art, technology, and the subconscious. A breakthrough moment in AI’s creative and strategic thinking.
@matcollishawstudio @matcollishaw
🌍 UAL: Public Art in the Time of Crisis – asking how public art can respond to the pressing crises of our time, from environmental degradation to social and racial injustice.
@camberwellual
♻️ Studio Swine: Crafting the Future from What Remains – rethinking our relationship with materials and imagining how waste can become a source of beauty and innovation.
🌸 In Bloom – showcasing the winners of TfL’s 2024 competition alongside historic photography from the London Transport Museum, reflecting on the transformation of London’s urban landscape.
@transportforlondon @nationaltrustlondon @bernice.mulenga
☁️ Cloud Messengers – tracing the invisible threads that bind natural forces to systems of capital and control in a time of climate crisis.
@raqsmediacollective @invisible_dust
None of this would have been possible without our incredible partners and collaborators:
@avivainvestors @co_re.london @futurecity_culture @invisible_dust @easterncityldn . Thank you for believing in this vision and helping us bring it to life.
