@sugathe1st - wasted effort [visualiser] The visualiser reflects on how violence circulates as image—reshaped into something consumable. Drawing from traces of vandalism and documentation, it holds a satirical distance where spectacle and discomfort begin to blur, settling into a distorted mirror of how violence is framed, absorbed, and replayed. Content warning: This video contains depictions of violence that may be distressing for some viewers. ‘Disastertainment EP’ is available to stream/buy/download via link in bio 🔗 Visuals by @zaezaezha

@sugathe1st - fart [visualiser] The visualiser draws from the mechanics of doomscrolling—an endless feed shaped by algorithmic drift, where humour, distortion, and darker imagery begin to blur into one continuous stream. It moves through fragments of AI-generated and human-made material, folding them into a space that feels both familiar and unstable, reflecting the passive consumption it emerges from. Disastertainment EP is available to buy/stream/download via link in the bio 🔗 Visuals by @zaezaezha ⚠️Flash warning: This video contains rapidly flashing images that may not be suitable for all viewers⚠️

@sugathe1st arrives at Sec13 with ‘Disastertainment’ EP, a four-track exploration of sonic texture and perceptual limits. The work examines how 808s, hi-hats, and snares function as compositional materials—how they layer, accumulate, and reshape listening itself. It’s an experiment in frequency as a vehicle for altered states, asking whether sound can reorganize consciousness or simply pass through it. The tracks investigate the gap between intention and reception, between what’s designed and what’s experienced. The EP resists singular meaning, staging encounters between density and clarity, signal and noise. To listen is to meet the work on its own material terms—to feel the speaker’s movement, the ear’s response, and the body’s and mind’s involuntary participation in an absurd world. Out now on all the major digital platforms!!! Mastered by @thegreysuk The Greys Artwork by @anotha90skid Photography by @zaezaezha

Disastertainment is a satirical audio-visual EP that explores the blurred line between information and entertainment in the digital age. It reflects a reality where tragedy, absurdity, and artificiality coexist in a single endless feed—consumed passively, often without context or consequence. The project draws attention to phenomena like doomscrolling, algorithmic overstimulation, AI-generated content, and the normalization of real-world violence as spectacle. It doesn’t present these issues as distant critiques, but as lived experiences—familiar, addictive, and difficult to disengage from. Through a balance of emotional minimalism and sensory overload, Disastertainment creates an immersive environment that mirrors the structure of social media itself: fragmented, visually engaging, and psychologically consuming. The work invites listeners to question their role within this system—not by offering answers, but by reflecting the experience back at them. At its core, Disastertainment is not just commentary—it is participation, observation, and interruption. Project by @sugathe1st Words by @chatgpt
