How long have you been doing life by the standards of the world? The advice we seek, the trends we follow, the culture we take direction from...does any of it feel sustainable? Through a simple daily act of plugging my phone into my car, God revealed a great lesson to me. Being connected to the wrong source will never lead you to where he wants to take you (into the promise he intends for your life). Being connected to the wrong source will have you looking around wondering why things aren’t working out. When we aren’t connected to the spirit, our steps are not ordered. The process of redirecting our mind and heart is one of intention and great reward if we are disciplined enough to pivot. I pray this week you are encouraged to plug into the right source! The only source that truly sustains!

It’s the long game. It doesn’t happen overnight. You hear “no” more than you hear “yes” yet you keep going because it’s not about the outcomes, it’s about the journey. The constant revelation of your “why” that continues to reintroduce itself to you. It calls you. You keep showing up, you keep learning, you keep growing. After all, the only way to, is through ✨🙏🏽
God is so good. I am still floating from my bridal shower this past weekend💙 If you know me, you know that I love LOVE and have been a romantic all the days of my life😂🥹Being showered by the women who mean the most to me has truly filled up my heart with so much love. I’m so thankful for my bridal tribe who put this together. I love yall deep ❤️

As both an actress and an active member of the @naacp these moments from the @naacpimageawards@bet bring warmth to my soul. Being an artist, a creative, a storyteller is an incredible privilege. The vulnerability, empathy, and honesty required to create and to breathe life into stories in a way that moves humanity is no small feat. It comes with great responsibility. I am constantly inspired by my colleagues who continue to pave the way and show up in grace, authority, kindness, and love. May we all continue to rise and to keep the doors of the human experience open for all to see, know, and feel.
