फोक अख्यानचा १००वा थाट !! या दिमाखदार सोहळ्याचा एक भाग होण्याचा आनंद एकीकडे आणि या ऐतिहासिक सोहळ्याचे अधिकृत छायाचित्रण करण्याची संधी मिळाल्याचा आनंद दुसरीकडे., दोन्ही भावना मन भरून टाकणाऱ्या होत्या. आजपर्यंत अख्यानचे ६ थाट प्रेक्षक म्हणून अनुभवले होते. पण हा थाट बॅकस्टेजपासून ऑनस्टेजपर्यंत घडणाऱ्या प्रत्येक गंमती-जमती, धावपळी आणि तयारीसह प्रत्यक्ष पाहण्याचा अनुभव माझ्यासाठी खूपच खास होता. वाद्यांची चाचणी असो, कलाकारांचे पोशाख, मेकअप, स्टेजवर येऊन होणारी माईक टेस्टिंग हे सगळे अख्यान जिवंत होताना जवळून पाहता आले, हे मी माझे भाग्यच समजतो. अख्यानचे १०० थाट पूर्ण झाले. पण या संपूर्ण टीमच्या वाट्याला असेच अनेक मैलाचे दगड येत राहावेत, हीच देवचरणी प्रार्थना. ही संधी दिल्याबद्दल जयदीप इनामदार (@jaydeepinamdar ) यांचे मनःपूर्वक खूप-खूप आभार! 🙏✨ #thefolkakhyan #marathisanskruti #lokkala #100

So, long story short. When the stuff you dream of happens, it's always overwhelming. But when the stuff you didn't think of happening happens, words literally feel inadequate to express what you're feelings at that time. Well, today exactly that's what happened. The Aston Martin DB9 Volante !! The car which I saw on Instagram in 2018 & I wondered how it must be to see it in person. Chased the car & enquired everyone who knew about it since 2021. A day that was meant to be happened in 2023 when I was Pune for a minor work & the Aston passed by me unexpectedly !! Ran towards it to see the car and obviously click a photo of it. Returned home with the minor work done and still wrapping my head around the face that I spotted the Aston Martin finally !! Again in November 2023, the DB9 passed by me on my way to college. Needless to say I was late to college that day because I followed it to click some photos. And in 2024 !! I finally happened to saw the Aston Martin DB9 Volante & it's garagemates in person. I met the owner shortly after that and he was just delightful person to talk to. Went around to meet him a couple of times in person, he told that I was going to have a ride in the Aston Martin that day. An absolute mind blown moment for me. And obviously a highly unexpected one. My main aim was to meet the owner and talk to him about the cars and his life journey. And he was generous enough to give a literal once-in-a-lifetime experience. I went from seeing the car online, to never spotting it for years, to seeing it 2-3 times, to meet the owner & to have an absolute time of my life in the car ride !! What a turn of events !! An absolute lesson in the power of manifestation !! I sense it's just a start to something very big !! Modern Classics Rally 2026 !! Where the road becomes a stage & the classics steal the show !! These aren't just cars. These are icons, poster cars which we grew up seeing. Whether it was seeing them being reviewed on 'Top Gear' or seeing them being built on 'How It's Made', these cars shaped our view on how we see cars & made it more of an emotion. Riding into 2026 paying an ode to '25 !! Every year is a lesson in itself, teaching you throughout. Ending the year with a heart filled with gratitude is important and so is to take these lessons into the new year. Every year isn't meant to be a clean slate. Turn the slate remembering the other side is etched too. Honestly, the realisation doesn't hit until a brief period of time. And it leaves wishing for better amends. Time is another crux. By the time you see this, a part of 2026 has already passed. And that is daunting. It is also a reminder to take action while you are at it. Brief action at a time makes a difference. Everything vanishes in a blur & what is left is a course of routine actions to make it through the day. Joy, sorrow, happiness, pain are moments in time. Reminiscing & dwelling makes you live the moment, but time passes. Every moment holds its weight & it's enough to tip the scales in your favour. The car that genuinely caught my attention from the GRRR × UNDERGROUND 10.1 !! Ft. The Lamborghini Gallardo !! The design, the sound, the huge carbon wing at the back just captivated me the moment I laid my eyes upon it. The car comes with a full carbon fibre overload. The steering, the instrument cluster, the central console, the side mirrors, the engine cover, the wing. Everything is just wrapped in CF. Much lower than the Huracan, it was replaced with, but the one thing they couldn't replace was the sound that the V10 made from this car. Every rev struck a chord to my heart & just made it smile to the absolute widest. With only a handful of these left in the country, lucky to see one in such a well maintained condition and being used to its fullest. These modern classics pertain to such appeals in the form of design sculpture, engine symphony. Form & functionality at its very best !!
