I had the pleasure of designing and creating some interactive seating solutions for @gillianjasongallery ’s booth at @expochicago , presenting @ofunneazinge ’s incredible body of work. The Aura Stools were designed to reflect and complement Azinge’s colour palette and exploration of femininity, inviting moments of pause, interaction, and presence within the space. Grateful to @milliejasonfoster for trusting my vision and allowing these pieces to take form so beautifully. The Aura Stools are now available via @gillianjasongallery and on view until April 12th at @expochicago

These three lamps were conceived as companions to The Research Bureau, created for the ‘Adaptations’ exhibition at @aramldn in collaboration with @usmmodularfurniture - More than functional lighting, they are poetic reflections of the literature and ideas that have illuminated my creative path. Each lamp embodies the convergence of thought, emotion, and artistry, standing as a testament to the power of knowledge to illuminate not only spaces but also the soul. Maroon: A homage to ‘Mapping Malcolm’ the brainchild of my sister @_najha_ - a reflection of legacy and identity. Marigold: A celebration of The Black Experience in Design, radiating the warmth and resilience of a shared narrative. Deep Indigo: A bridge between my past and future works, inspired by The Architecture of Psychoanalysis by Jame Rendell Beautifully captured by @redfernandy 💙

Feeling deeply honored to be part of the ‘Adaptations’ exhibition at The Aram Gallery, curated in collaboration with @usmmodularfurniture . My piece, the Research Bureau, reimagines the USM Haller system as a self-contained workspace that seamlessly blends functionality with design. Featuring a custom upholstered seat, swing-out desk, and space for object and publication display, it supports my creative practice in a thoughtful and innovative way. This exhibition celebrates the transformation of the USM system into something deeply personal for myself and fellow exhibitors.
