허난설헌 (Heo Nanseolheon) had a 명(birth name) of 허 초희 (Heo Chohui) and was also called 옥혜(Oakhye). In her adulthood, she was given the name (자, adult name) 경번. 난설헌(Nanseolheon) was her chosen artist name. 난설헌 means an orchid, a flower that symbolizes elegance and unwithering spirit. It was rare for a woman to have a 명(birthname), 자(adult name), and 호(artist name/nickname) at the time, or even a name at all. The more I learn about her the more I realize how captivating of a person she must have been. I hope this reflects in the piece. Come watch us perform! Ticket Link in bio.
Thank you @niku_11_niku for this beautiful poster 💙
