We created the Identity for incredible emerging act @bluegoose.live which, much like the music itself, draws inspiration from a vintage era. ​ Details in the logotype reflect the attention to detail in the bands songwriting and playing. This craft is echoed in the monogram we created for the band as a shortcut to the logo for smaller formats. New work alert. 1/3 La Runie for Moreno Wines Grown from the ruins of the Cathars castles, La Ruine is a wine that is steeped in history and mysticism. ​ The name La Ruine translates in English as ‘The Ruin’ and the label is a direct representation of those crumbling walls of the ancient castles. The typography that adorns it is inspired by stamped letters on old wine crates that would be found in the old castles when they were once inhabited. ​ Castles in this region were linked to Catharism, a religious movement between the 12th and 14th century. Symbols of from this religion such as the Gnostic diety, Abraxas and the Dove of peace, can be found in literature from the area, or carved into the castle walls. Welcome to the grand stage of @matchessportsbar_ . Here at the heart of the action of the South East, we unveil a true game-changer, Matches Lager. Conceived by the bar’s founder, Jon, this lager was born to be the ultimate sports companion – an easy-drinking, light yet flavourful beer that could hold its own against the big brands. The vision was clear – to capture the very essence of sports, and the socialising that comes with it. The challenge? Create an unpretentious identity that resonates with fans. The result? An identity that captures the fever pitch of the fans and the foamy beer thrown in celebration when that winning goal hits the net. All set against the backdrop of athletic field grass patterns. Nooooo 2/3 - We were chuffed to be invited to create a live brief for the @inkygoodness 28 Day Packaging Challenge. Instead of using an old project, we had some fun making a 0.0% alc nootropic drink called Noodoo. Infused with gaba for the good times, but with zero hangover. The name and style took its inspiration from psychedelic gig posters. Noodoo is hedonistic at heart and gets the party started. ​ This case study was created to showcase the awesome winning entry by @iev.p which captured the party spirit we were looking for. The Inkygoodness 28 Day Packaging Challenge offered illustrators an opportunity to work alongside global creative agencies and get live feedback so they can level-up thier illustration portfolios. ​ We designed the logo and pack, but created a brief so that over 40 illustrators in the awesome Inkygoodness community could experience working on a packaging brief. ​ Following 2 rounds of feedback from us, the illustrators submitted their final artwork. Out of 5 shortlisted, Ieva Paliukaitytė came in 1st and Liz Orton, 2nd. Such a tough decision to make when the ideas and illustration quality was so high! Logo Rhythm book Kickstarter! Band logos have been among us for 50 years or more. They’ve sung out at us from the covers of our favourite albums. Been worn loud and proud on T-shirts and pin-badges. They are an ingrained part of the pop-cultural landscape. We may love them, but it’s a kind of blind love. We don’t tend to look beyond their role as flags of musical or tribal allegiance. We just dig the vibes they send out. Which is missing a massive trick.
