“Should coffee grounds go in the soil?”
It’s one of those gardening myths that gets thrown around all the time… but turns out, it’s not actually true 👀
Our founder @ninna_reground is here to debunk the coffee ground myth once and for all 🥳🫡
Thanks @adamworling for the great chat and joining us on our collection run.
Big news for the Reground team!!
We’ve officially started work with one of Victoria’s largest councils.
This contract is proof that social enterprises can deliver at scale - combining high-quality waste services with inclusive employment and measurable impact.
Most importantly, it has created six new jobs for people who have faced barriers to employment.
Real work and real wages!
Every contract like this helps us grow, create more jobs, and show that business can be a force for good.
We’re incredibly proud of this milestone and even more excited for what’s ahead 💚

What’s actually in your bin?!
In a recent waste audit with a Victorian council, we looked beyond assumptions to understand what is really being thrown away, what is being recovered, and what is falling through the gaps.
What we consistently find is not a lack of care, but a lack of visibility.
A waste audit brings that into focus - and creates the foundation for better systems, clearer education, and measurable outcomes.
If you want to understand what your waste is really telling you, get in touch today!

Meet Haris! đź‘‹
With a background in environmental science and GIS, and hands on experience in hospitality and farming, Haris brings a systems-focused approach to everything he does.
His work is guided by a deep belief that meaningful change happens through relationships; between communities, environments, and the systems that sustain them.
When he’s not busy growing Reground Sydney, you’ll find him paragliding, climbing, or on the hunt for the city’s best hot choc.
We are so lucky to have such a wonderful human on our team, thanks for everything you do! đź’š
REA Group gets it 🤝💚
Since 2019, they’ve diverted 4,940kg of coffee grounds and 650kg of soft plastics from landfill - avoiding almost 10,000kg of emissions in the process.
This is what making better waste choices looks like at scale - simple systems, embedded habits, real impact!
Proud of this partnership.

Partner spotlight: @a.p.bread đź’š
We’re really proud to be working alongside the AP Bakery team in Sydney - people who genuinely care about their craft and the details behind what they do.
We’ve been supporting them with the recycling of their coffee grounds, helping keep organic waste out of landfill.
It’s a simple but solid example of sustainability being part of the everyday, not something added on the side.
Good people, doing good work.
If you’re in the area, go say hey 💚
