Hi sweet lady. It’s been a couple days since you’ve passed and honestly, it’s been so rough. It would’ve been almost 10 years since I adopted you. May 2016 was such a pivotal moment in my life - adopting you was honestly such a spontaneous decision; I barely warned my parents before having you come to the house with the shelter volunteer LOL. As spontaneous as you were, you were such a blessing; not just to me, but my family, my loved ones, and really anyone who met you. You were such a bright light, the goodest of girls, the floofiest of doggos. You were such a strong big sister for Selena and Bobby despite them being so annoying and needy. You were my anchor during so many big moments these past 10 years. You really were there for me through it all. I can write so much about you (and I already have… but I’ll keep those between you and me), so I must keep this one (kinda) short.

I love you, Ailee. Thank you for 10 years of love, laughs, cuddles, and hot breath. You touched the hearts of so many people, I hope you know how much you were loved. I will bring a piece of you through every moment in my life. Everything I do, I do it in your honor and love. You left me with so much heart and strength, so don’t worry about me. I’ll become my loved ones anchor from now on. I’ll love just as much as you did.
