today is 4 years since I started transitioning. it's felt slow at times (especially the start) but now doesn't feel like long enough for how much my life has changed.
transitioning is a leap of faith, it's not always easy (i always say just because we make it look good, it doesn't mean it's easy) but has been made easier by the long list of women who have and continue to look out for and look after me.
the latest of whom is @daisymoons , who has been looking out for me ever since we met when I did mix nights early last year. feel very honoured that she's chosen to share her platform with me and i got to put a mix out on her Off-Kilter series.
this mix isn't as earnest as this post, it's just a bunch of fun, high energy songs that make me feel like I'm at one of Daisy's parties which are always my fave

On Friday 1st of May Embody returns to The Love Inn welcoming a true pioneer of electronic music -Jen Cardini.
French-born and globally revered, Jen Cardini (they/them) has spent over three decades shaping dance floors across the spectrum- from intimate underground spaces to some of the world’s most iconic clubs and festivals. A regular at Berghain, Bassiani and Circoloco, and festivals including Glastonbury, Sonar and Primavera, their sound is as timeless as it is forward-thinking.
An uncompromising and boundary-pushing force rooted in a rich queer legacy, Cardini has continually redefined the possibilities of electronic music. Through their work as an A&R for Correspondant (one of our all-time favourite labels) and DISCH, alongside their productions and remixes, they’ve helped reshape perceptions of the French scene and beyond. Their journey spans sweaty basement clubs, warehouse raves, and Ibiza superclubs.
They also helm Nightclubbing, a platform and festival dedicated to queer underground artists, continuing their commitment to pushing culture forward.

Heyyyy still flying high from the absolute scenes last week at the Love Inn and so excited to announce our day party for International Women’s Day on the 7th of March 16:00-22:00 - bringing a new vision for Bristol to life 🦋
We are on a mission to create intentional dancefloors where femme, queer, trans and FLINTA people can connect, move and feel fully themselves -away from the male gaze, with out compromise on music quality & curation.
For this new chapter we’ve invited the formidable Ms.G (they/them) who has been a mainstay of London’s queer scene for nearly a decade. A longtime resident at Dalston Superstore, their sound blends high-energy rave, sultry percussive tribal rhythms, pumping house and rolling cuts, threaded with classic UK motifs and the playful vocals they’ve become known for. They’ve played some of London’s most loved parties, including Body Movements, Big Dyke Energy, Club Are, UNFOLD, Smut Press, and closing the much-missed Chapter 10 -stealing hearts one set at a time.
EMBODY prioritises accessibility and comfort, holding space for sober and sober-curious ravers and people who may not find traditional nightlife accessible.

33 today! Been a different kind of late night recently, feel very lucky to have been able to have this time to slow down and savour every moment but also really looking forward to getting back out there over the next new months.
