On Wednesday, we hosted our first speed-networking event and our hearts are still glowing 💖
Thank you so much to all of you who showed up. New faces, familiar faces, and expert mentors from across the industry all coming together to lift each other up. This is what community should feel like 🙌
And a huge, heartfelt thank you to @fomo_rentals for holding such a welcoming space for us.

QUEER LENS
We are so excited to launch our first ever Speed Networking event for QUEER LENS, where LGBTQIA+ individuals can connect, collaborate, and build community in a fun and supportive environment.
We’ve also arranged an incredible line up of industry mentors/experts who can share their experiences in various roles in the industry, and generally share advice.

The time is here to announce our third winner of QL Presents. 🎉 Big up the incredibly talented @papp_karolina , for her editing and animation work on ‘Support Our Common Future.’ 🫂🌱

“A group of Year 9 students talk about what diversity means to them and what it’s like growing up in Barking, London. The creative ideas in this film came from the minds of a small group of Year 9 children at Riverside School in Barking. They wanted an authentic representation of their community and to show how their creativity could thrive when given the opportunity. With the help of our DOP, they shot all the Super 8 footage in the film as well as the film photography. This film premiered at the House of Commons with the aim of raising enough funds to build a Creative Arts Centre for Riverside School. In an industry that is increasingly difficult to access, this building would allow young people from all backgrounds to gain early experience in the arts and give opportunities to a new, diverse generation of creatives.”
