The Life and Times of Daisy Forbes is a long-form lip-sync illustrating a show girl, our last show girl who is at a distinct crossroads in her life. A crossroads where she is forced to make the decision of whether or not to continue pushing the rock up the hill as a performer and human being in this world. Via TV interviews, trashy pop, obscure musical theater scores and film scenes, Daisy channels these voices as a means of excavating the choices she has made, the feeling of abandonment and the uncertain future ahead. May 21-24 The Club 74A East 4th Street New York, NY 10003 Tickets: Adults: $20 Students/Seniors: $15 La MaMa Members: $10 10 @ $10 Tickets Tickets: /42/production/1264422 Created and Performed by yours truly Scenic design by @antonvolov Lighting design by @zacklobel Sound design by @_otracami_ Costume design by @kulayascope Costume support by @claimourspacenow Stage managed by Liz Dion Choreographic support by @cara_leggs Assistant directed by @jay_giffin_ Impact producing and Graphic Design by @fedeborlenghi Production managed by @britt_coin Make-Up Design and original photos by @voxigma.lo

What do you find when you dig through La MaMa's history with a queer Southern lens? 🏛️🏳️‍🌈 ㅤ For Part 2 of our archive series, Harris Singer—the Georgia-born playwright and co-founder of The Fool Volk—takes us inside his new work *Take Me to Dollywood*. ㅤ Harris and Scout Davis (from our Part 1 interview) recently went digging through the archive with curator Nicky Paraiso, unearthing decades of queer, strange, and wonderful downtown history. This is the second conversation. ㅤ *Take Me to Dollywood* runs May 14-31 at The Downstairs (66 E 4th Street). ㅤ 🎟️ $35 Adults / $30 Students-Seniors / $10 La MaMa Members ✨ First 10 tickets just $10. ⚠️ Ages 18+ only. Contains pornography, strobe effects, and depictions of violence. ㅤ 🔗 Link in bio for tickets. Stay tuned for Part 3 with curator Nicky Paraiso. ㅤ #TakeMeToDollywood #HarrisSinger #TheFoolVolk #LaMaMaArchives #QueerTheatre

A peek inside the La MaMa archives – and a show that proves its queer, strange, wonderful spirit is still very much alive. 🏛️✨ ㅤ For Part 1 of our three-part series, Scout Davis (they/them) walks us through their long-form lip-sync spectacle The Life and Times of Daisy Forbes – a last show girl at a crossroads, channeling TV interviews, trashy pop, and obscure musical scores to excavate a life of choices and abandonment. ㅤ Scout and Harris Singer (creator of Take Me to Dollywood) dug deep into La MaMa's archives with curator Nicky Paraiso, unearthing decades of boundary‑pushing queer history. This is the first conversation. ㅤ 🗓️ Daisy Forbes runs May 21–24 at The Club (74A East 4th Street) 🎟️ $20 General / $15 Students‑Seniors / $10 La MaMa Members ✨ First 10 tickets just $10! ㅤ 🔗 Link in bio for tickets. ㅤ Stay tuned for Part 2 (Harris Singer) and Part 3 (Nicky Paraiso). Don't miss these shows – two celebrations of downtown audacity. ㅤ #TheLifeAndTimesOfDaisyForbes #TakeMeToDollywood #NickyParaiso #LaMaMaArchives #QueerTheatre #OffOffBroadway #DowntownNYC
