Among the giants, March feels alive. Mist rolling through ancient redwoods, rain-soaked trails, and the quiet sound of water dripping from branches older than history. 🌲🌧️ Every step feels smaller, but somehow more connected. #Redwoods #NorthernCalifornia #hikingadventures #IntoTheForest #outadv+family

Two Harbors in March = Golden sunsets, crashing waves, campfire smoke, stars everywhere, chilly mornings, zero regrets. * “Island time activated.” #campingadventures #californialiving #weekendgetaway #twoharborscatalina #friendships

Cold air, rushing water, and the kind of quiet only January in the Sierra can bring. 🌲❄️ Johnsondale Bridge Trail in winter feels untouched — frozen mornings, granite cliffs, and the Kern River moving steady through it all. 📍 Johnsondale Bridge — Sequoia National Forest #SequoiaNationalForest #JohnsondaleBridge #winterbackpacking #KernRiver #californialiving

Beneath the cliffs of Piedra Blanca — where the trail gets dusty, the air gets quieter, and the mountains remind you how small your worries really are. 🥾⛰️🌿 Some places don’t need filters. Just good company, tired legs, and a view worth the climb. #PiedraBlanca #LosPadresNationalForest #CaliforniaHikes #HikingAdventures #TrailDays NatureEscape ExploreCalifornia MountainViews AdventureAwaits OptOutside

“Some trails don’t just lead somewhere — they slow you down enough to notice everything around you. 🌫️⛰️ Hetch Hetchy felt like Yosemite’s quieter side: waterfalls echoing through the canyon, clouds rolling over granite walls, and miles of peace with every step.” #HetchHetchy #YosemiteNationalPark #hikingfriends #californiahikes #backpackerlife

🌊Some places don’t just echo with waves, they echo with life.🦆 Malibu Lagoon State Beach is one of those places. A meeting place of ocean, lagoon, marsh, and sky. A landscape alive with movement, where terns skim the water, shorebirds dance along the sand, and migration stories unfold above our heads every season. It’s the kind of place that reminds you that birdwatching is about far more than checking species off a list. It’s about learning how to pay attention again. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who showed up with open hearts, patient eyes, and a willingness to learn alongside one another. Whether it was your very first bird walk or you’ve loved birds for years, your presence helped create a space that felt welcoming, intentional, and full of wonder. A huge thank you to @just.trek and @___naturespalette___ who helped make this gathering possible and to the birds themselves, our teachers for the morning. From the rhythmic calls of gulls overhead to the quiet elegance of shorebirds along the lagoon, every encounter carried a reminder that we are part of something larger than ourselves. We’re grateful to partner with brands that believe outdoor spaces, education, and wonder should be for everyone: 🔭 @n_o_c_s for providing the binoculars and helping our community connect more deeply with the birds and landscapes around us. 🍄@drinkrivr for providing refreshing teas rooted in Indigenous stewardship. 📸 @maria.zamri for capturing the moment from this special event, we truly appreciate you! The birds will return with the seasons. The tide will keep shifting. And the invitation to notice will always remain. This is what community care looks like: learning together, moving slower, and reconnecting with the living world around us. And we’re only getting started. Thank you for birding with us! 🐦

Today was such a fun learning experience. 🦜🌿 I joined @___naturespalette___ and @just.trek for their intro to birdwatching activity and honestly loved it. I learned so much and felt like a little kid getting excited over every new thing I spotted. Today I saw a house finch, song sparrow, elegant tern, and pelican. It was really nice finally being able to put names to the many bird sounds I hear so often outdoors. The @merlin.bird.id and @inaturalistshitpost apps really came in clutch helping me learn about the birds around us. Definitely a hobby I want to keep exploring. Thank you for this experience really looking forward to attending more of them. @_outadvplus_ @n_o_c_s @drinkrivr

Last night, under fading light and open sky, we gathered at Panorama Vista Preserve and let the land guide us. Step by step, conversation by conversation, it felt like more than just a mid-week hike, it felt like community taking root. Grateful for every single person who showed up, shared space, and chose to be present out there. You’re what makes these moments meaningful. Until the next adventure...Tuesday, May 19th at Hart Memorial Park.! ⁉️Who's coming on the next mid-week hike with us?
