Pretty thrilled that last week I got to open for the revolutionary Egyptian satirist and only stand-up comedian my parents like (including myself): @bassem Youssef. If you don’t know who he is, I couldn’t recommend his book more *Revolution for Dummies*. More people definitely need to hear his story, so I don’t have to hear any more about “how you can’t say anything in the UK these days”… this guy literally had to flee his country because of jokes he told.
Also, huge thanks to @hishamabdelkhalek for putting us in contact and @medhat_soody for filming the accompanying documentary, which I can’t wait to see! And, of course, @talalaban for being my opening partner and providing an incredibly different energy to me that worked brilliantly!
