The Mittleman Jewish Community Center, OJMCHE (@ojmche ), EJC (@ejcpdx ), OJCYF (@_ojcyf ), and PDX Hillel (@pdxhillel ) have partnered for a deep dive into the topic of Antisemitism on college campuses. This presentation provides resources to incoming college students and their parents preparing them for higher education in today’s political climate.
This event features College Counselor Jody Bothe and PDX Hillel Director Andy Friedland. Jody Bothe holds a Masters in Education form University of Vermont and a College Counseling certificate from UCLA, and has over 35 years of certified experience guiding students on the path of higher education.

Last Thursday, April 10th, the Oregon Jewish Community Youth Foundation (OJCYF), OJCF’s signature teen philanthropy program, celebrated its 22nd year!
Teen co-hosts Reuben Cohen and Gabe Horwitz brought insight and enthusiasm to the stage as OJCYF members shared personal stories, values, and what shaped their giving this year.

Keynote Speaker Adam Davis, Executive Director of Oregon Humanities (@oregonhumanities ) energized the room, presenting tools for sparking meaningful conversations that bridge differences and foster mutual understanding in a divided world. He shared practical strategies for navigating disagreement with empathy, curiosity, and respect. To take it further, Adam led table conversations that asked: What does it feel like to be surrounded by people who are very similar —or very different? The discussions sparked reflection about identity, community, and connection.
