This past week, the Youth Foundation met for their monthly meeting. The students explored guiding Jewish values, drafted a Priority Statement for this year’s Request for Proposals (thank you to the guest facilitator Lisa Fasolo Frishman for guiding the process), and started planning for the benefit dinner.
Together, the students also made time to light candles, spin dreidels, and enjoy sufganiyot as they welcomed the first night of Chanukah.
Through the Youth Foundation, students bring their individual passions and talents together to shine more light onto the community and world.

We are proud to present a beautiful, intense, reverent screening of a film that empowers us to do something core to what Jews do: Tell our stories. This is part of our history, and so we are honored to remember it, and grow from it. Join us as we watch together - for the first time or once again - and afterwards discuss and break our fast for the 9th of Av, all in remembrance of the fall of our Second Temple.
We will be serving tea, lentil soup (vegan, prepared in dairy kitchen), and flat bread.

The Weitz Family Lunch and Learn Fund at OJCF is now accepting grant applications to support kosher lunch and learn Torah study for groups of passionate and curious community members that are yearning for learning. The program must be rooted in traditional Torah study and Jewish values. Each lunch and learn group are eligible for one grant per calendar year with a maximum grant size of $1,206.
