Here are the last photos from our backpacking trip a couple weeks ago.
Also, I feel like we’re long due for an intro now that we hit 5k so here it is! My name is Chel and my pup is Oak. I’m a full time lead procedural ENT nurse, working M-F so we’re true weekend warriors 🙃! My pup Oak is turning 3 in October and we love exploring new places and adventuring together. We live in the moody beautiful state of WA, so our content is mainly focused on outdoor photography and adventures. We’re slowly getting into enrichment content and we’re so excited to show you more when we’re not out in the mountains.

Did I hear flowers and treats? The answer will always be yes 🌸😋
This past weekend, we ventured out to our local arboretum to see the azaleas and rhododendrons (native to WA!) in full bloom, and it was so beautiful 🥹
The best part? I got to enjoy the most delicious treats from @oncewildpet , so I was an extra good boy listening to mom’s commands 🤭
There were so many people and dogs around, and I didn’t react to a single one!
I think that deserves a whole bag of treats… don’t you? 😋

Summer adventures are almost here and I already know we’re gonna be spending most of our days outside 🤭
I love knowing Oak gets something nutritious after all the running around and he’s been loving his @canada.fresh dry food lately. His excitement every mealtime honestly makes me so happy 😂❤️

Drove 4 hours to see the balsamroots only for Oak to be fully distracted by every single scent, and me spiraling a little thinking about rattlesnakes the whole time 😂
Still so shocked I got a few good shots of him actually looking at the camera?? Would I do it again? Hell yes. I’ll drive hours every year just to see these wildflowers, there’s just something about them that gets me so excited every spring.

We traded the city for a little glamping escape this weekend, and it was exactly what we needed 🤍🏕️
Watching Oak run around in all that open space never gets old.
Trips like this used to stress me out; I was always keeping an eye on him, but the Halo Collar has made such a difference. He gets to explore and do his thing, and I can actually relax and be present with him, which just makes these moments even better 🥹

Still dreaming about our trip this past weekend, and honestly so proud of how this reel turned out 😭
This property is so beautifully designed, it totally deserved a little ✨fancy✨ feature 🤭
This was my second time filming with my Sony A7 III + Sigma 24–70mm f/2.8, and I’m genuinely shocked at how it came out. Some clips were on a tripod, some handheld, but somehow none of them look shaky 🤣
The “secret”? Shoot in 120fps and slow it down to 50% in your editing app. I’m obviously still super new to this, but I’ve been having the most fun filming and editing lately.

Had the dreamiest mini weekend getaway at @columbiagorgegetaways 🌿🏕️ #hostedstay
We stayed in the Lupine Safari Tent and loved every bit of it. It was so cozy, perfect for a couple, and pet-friendly too (which is always a big plus for us). It had a full kitchen, full bathroom, and the fireplace quickly became our favorite spot at night 🤍
Everything felt so thoughtfully designed and stocked with everything we needed, it made unplugging and slowing down so easy.
Already thinking about coming back 😍
