From AI’s rapid integration into the military-industrial complex and its role in the ongoing genocide in Gaza, to nearly every major company aiding and abetting death and destruction around the planet, the world feels nightmarish. However, what if we asked for you to hold our hands (for a few hours) while we walked through the garden of divesting and re-imagining? If the answer is yes, bring your laptop (and a friend) as we watch a few videos and start opting out from the nightmare together. We’ll be watching “Survival Without Rent”, and there will be zine versions of what we go over during the workshop for you to take home and share.

Chile has been experiencing a series of uncontrollable wildfires due to the lethal convergence of extreme climate crisis and colonial forestry operations. Im coordinating with @TumbalaComparsa who are providing direct aid to 12 families displaced by the fires. The funds collected will go directly to the families who are rebuilding their lost homes. took some pictures of the @nycmigrantsolidarity lovely day of the dead fundraiser earlier this month at trans pecos. there is also an event coming up on the 29th :) events are not just fundraisers, they are a chance to get to know your neighbors! come out :) I’ll be painting faces- can make u look like a beautiful flower or a gorgeous clown, the color blue, or a cat in the shape of a nutella jar etc. if you can’t make it to the events, you can donate a small ammount monthly to @nycmigrantsolidarity through the open collective (link in the profile bio) it will go a long way. being involved with each other in any sort of way is essential right now, and always. “As our communities continue to be targeted by state cruelty, it is imperative we don’t submit to their terror and lose hope. gathering in the exertion of our culture we see into the courage, the resilience, the ways that our communities have held together and overcome in the past.
