The union of Rtanj Mountain and the essence of Bereginye in my life is a profound synchronicity, a sacred alignment that has deepened my exploration of the language of symbols. At the Pyramid Festival, we merge the ancient with the ultra-modern, using Slavic symbols as gateways to communicate with the unseen worlds. With eternal gratitude to my teachers and female ancestors, the Bereginye practice has given a name to what I, as an artist, have known since the dawn of my existence. I have learned to navigate Yav, our world of duality and tangible matter, while looking toward Prav, the celestial realm of divine law and supreme light. Below us, we honor Nav, the world of ancestors and the subconscious where the past resides. This sacred trinity has breathed new life into my research of Macedonian folk costumes, revealing the hidden codes within their embroidery. A special cornerstone of this year’s gathering will be a workshop dedicated to painting the Slavic Bereginye symbols. Through the act of creation, we will invoke symbols that offer protection and strength for ourselves, our families, and all of humanity. The journey flows onward. Jeste li se ikada zapitali zašto su naše pretkinje provodile sate i sate vezući simbole na platnu? To nije bio samo ukras – bio je to čin stvaranja zaštite. Svaki bod bio je molitva, a svaki simbol portal snage. U današnjem svijetu, gdje nam pažnju kradu beskrajne i često nepotrebne informacije s ekrana, pozivamo vas da zastanete. Naša Mimi @_mir_ja_na_ pripremila je ovu radionicu kako bismo se zajedno podsjetili kolika se vrijednost krije u ručnom radu. Zašto doći na radionicu? 28.2.26 under the archetype of Bereginya in 9th circle NAV At Taure Art Academy in Barcelona, my journey came to a gentle pause with an exhibition of my paintings and a Ceremonial Cacao with those who have walked part of this path alongside me. The moment felt like a quiet attunement with something far greater, a current in which all of creation moves, imperfectly perfect. Painting is my meditation, a practice of staying with life as it is. It is the courage to meet discomfort, to witness truth, to sit with what cannot be avoided. The colors on the skin in my portraits reflect the world we inhabit; they remind me that we are reflections of our choices and of the environment we move through. To turn away from this is to lose the voice of our own truth. I choose creation over destruction. I choose Cacao because it carries the memory of the future and returns us to the pulse of the Earth. I am grateful to every soul who was present at the Closing Ceremony, to @etsinancy for music, to @aga.crearte for sharing the cacao, to the gallery family @galleryc6 who hold space for wholesome values, and to all who captured these moments.
