My name is Hafsatu Sani, a fashion designer from Northern Nigeria and the founder and creative director of the clothing brand TheCicaeda. I am also widely known as the “Queen of Saqi.”
My passion lies in reviving and promoting traditional Northern craftsmanship, particularly the art of hand-woven Saqi fabrics passed down through generations. Through my work, I strive to preserve this cultural heritage while presenting it in a way that resonates with modern fashion.
For me, fashion is more than just clothing, it is a form of storytelling. Every design reflects the beauty of tradition, the dedication of artisans, and the evolving spirit of contemporary style.
