Some very essential maintenance happening on modV!
After a little hiatus, we’ve updated Vue, Vuex and Golden Layout all a major version.
We’ve moved from Webpack to vite to drop out of our Vue CLI scaffold, too.
And of course addressed a number of small bugs while doing so.
What does this mean for modV users? Feature-wise, not a lot. But it means we’re a little more future-proofed than we were previously.
This process allowed us to remove a number of things which became unsupported and shall hopefully make upgrade paths a lot easier in the future when the libraries and frameworks that underpin modV inevitably become obsolete.
This migration hasn’t been released yet, but will drop this summer if all goes to plan :)

It’s been a minute since I’ve made a @_modv_ update post here - so here’s a big update 👀
Today I’ve been trialling NDI sending from modV, which is HUGE news since before now getting output of modV into any other app was incredibly difficult!
Not only that, over the past year @nerddisco and I have continued to work on many improvements and features for modV - we’re seeing regular users now, which is super exciting!
Last year we overhauled our documentation and website - now it’s super easy to get started. Download the app, either read the guide or watch a 10 minute video and you’re on your way.
