Our new @canalsidekitchen menu! Don’t worry, your favourites aren’t going anywhere. The mushrooms on toast and our scrambled tofu are still right where they belong. But we’ve also added some of the dishes you’ve been asking us for… And yes… Karina has officially allowed chips onto the Canalside Kitchen menu. You can thank Ben for that one! 😉🍟 As always, the majority of everything we serve is made from fresh, whole food ingredients - keeping things simple, nourishing and (in our humble opinion) some of the healthiest café food in the local area. Pair it with fresh coffee and what many of you call the best chai lattes around, and you’ve got the perfect excuse to catch up with your favourite people while supporting a small, independent business that truly appreciates you. Your body is made to move! Here’s our timetable with the new Functional Fitness class added to Monday evenings at 6.15pm. This class is ideal for anyone wanting to move with more ease. Tight hips and lower back? Feeling a bit weak? Danni will help you build strength for everyday life and feel more capable in your body. Alongside that, there’s our yoga and calisthenics classes, including sessions for complete beginners, so whether you’re just starting out or looking to level up, there’s something for you. ✨ Two beautiful Mini She Wolves Retreats… both completely sold out 🤍✨ We’re still soaking up the magic from our April & May retreat days. From grounding movement to deeply restorative sound baths, these afternoons were everything we hoped they would be- calming, empowering and full of connection. Together, we moved through gentle yoga, beginner-friendly callisthenics, meditation and breathwork, all beautifully guided by the wonderful Karina from @_mindbodylab . We shared herbal teas, nourishing lunches and space to slow down and reconnect with ourselves and each other. Join us in honouring the Summer Solstice and celebrating International Yoga Day with the powerful and traditional practice of 108 Sun Salutations. The number 108 shows up regularly in nature and holds deep significance in yoga and across many spiritual traditions, symbolising wholeness, unity and the connection between the individual and the universe. Completing 108 Sun Salutations is seen as a moving meditation, a way to detox the body, steady the mind and reset your energy as we begin our journey towards the winter. This practice is often done at key points of the year, such as the Summer Solstice, to mark change, release what no longer serves and create space for new intention. You’re invited to take on this challenge in your own way: ✨ Do it for yourself ✨ Dedicate it to someone you love ✨ Honour someone you’ve lost ✨ Or simply show up and see what unfolds Guided by Karina, who has held space for this practice almost every solstice, you’ll be supported every step of the way. Her approach places a strong focus on breath awareness and control, helping you find a steady rhythm that turns the practice into something deeply meditative. There will be variations offered at the beginning of the practice, making it accessible for those who may find getting up and down from the floor challenging. This is not about perfection, it’s about presence. As the rounds build, something shifts… The mind quiets, the body warms and you drop into a meditative flow state. Many are surprised by how quickly the time passes and by the end, you’ll feel a shift in your energy, a sense of peace and a genuine sense of achievement. As we do every Summer Solstice, we invite you to step away from the noise of daily life and reconnect with yourself through a full day of movement, stillness, reflection and intention setting. This special retreat is an opportunity to purify body and mind using traditional yogic practices, guided in a way that is accessible, grounding and deeply nourishing. Throughout the day, we will explore: Asana (movement) to awaken and energise the body Pranayama (breath/energy control) to calm and balance the nervous system Dhyana (meditation) to cultivate inner clarity Mantra to focus and steady the mind You’ll also be guided through a manifestation & journalling workshop, with space to reflect on the year so far and set meaningful intentions for the months ahead. Time in our garden will offer a chance to ground, connect with nature and share conversations with like-minded people. Thought you don't like sauna? On #SaunaSaturday think again. If you didn't like traditional saunas because you found it difficult to breathe or felt uncomfortable - we hear you! However, have you ever tried an infrared sauna? This sweat is different! Infrared heat doesn't heat the air you sit in, rather it heats you through your skin - this means the cabins run at a lower temperature, as your body is doing all the hard work.
