Carrie Mae Weems’ recent pair of performances ‘Contested Sites of Memory’ at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall earlier in the year.
I had the priveledge of directing audio and mixing the performances on behalf of @c.a.v.e
To me, Carrie is an artist whose tone and message offer a rare example of work poetically reflecting the human condition. The performance proved strikingly necessary and cathartic, especially in light of the events unfolding within the country at the time.
