[ARK001] The Melqui Remix EP
When Melqui’s debut self-titled EP was being prepared for release in 2022, the band’s leader Lautaro Hochman gathered a diverse group of musicians from the Amsterdam experimental music scene to reinterpret songs from the EP.
The release will also be available as a limited series of hand-made cassette tapes - intervened on leftover tapes of the original release - made by NEXT HOUSE OVER. They will be made available for purchase at our upcoming event on the 12.04 in Noordspace.
@tzarathemachine , @doukus_music (who’s work has been released previously on the label), @antekkotek and Anekumena co-founder @car_to_pol took up the task of reworking the original material and produced four distinct and daring interpretations.

This is the first installment on the Anekumena Archive Series. A collection dedicated to releasing archived and previously unreleased material by friends and associates of the label.

This mixtape is a compilation of demos/unfinished songs/ideas of the people that have been involved with the Amsterdam Arthouse initiative. These people belong a very unique and blooming scene of musicians in the Netherlands that has and continues to develop its own sound.
