I’m getting in the #memademay spirit!! Day seven is a Ruby Vest, Rise Turtleneck, and Helios Trousers! It’s chilly today, so I’m layering up. I improv quilted this vest from scraps as a pattern tester while I was editing @newsongquiltingco ’s book (Modern Improv Quilting). A #memademay fit to match my new Sailor Slippers! I am more delighted by these finished slips than I thought I would be (even though I was also extremely excited to make them). They are fast and easy to knit (if you actually work on them 🙃) and then the felting is very exciting! I knit these as a buddy project with @kristinethebean16 and let’s just say long distance crafting with friends is where it’s at!! I sewed up a new batch of undies over the weekend! I have been wearing these memade, elastic-free cotton undies since 2022, and I don’t think I am ever going back! I made a tutorial back then that I will reshare in my stories (even though it makes me lol). I redrafted the pattern pieces this time, but the sewing process is the same! I was worried that these wouldn’t have a long life without elastic, but it’s not the case at all, so I knew it was time to fill up the drawer (PS the wavy seams are intentional on these guys! I stretch the ribbing in the place of elastic) This ribbing is from @lyricalfabrics (someone stop me from buying more ribbing!!!!) #memadeunderwear #sewingtutorial #memade

I am even more in love with my second pair of @indigoindigo.no #iiheliostrousers than the first! If you can spot the dirt in these photos it’s because I’ve already been wearing them to work outside. They are made with @blackbirdfabrics nylon taslon, and it’s my favorite fabric I’ve bought in a long time! I got three colors (and wish I had a fourth tbh). It is water resistant and great for gardening! I made the same size (2), view C, included pockets, and I added additional elastic cord and stoppers around the hems so they are extra balloon-y #balloonpants #hikingpants #sewingpants
