After 4 days here these are our must do tips 👇 🏕️ Stay: Plan at least 3–4 days. The weather is unpredictable and you’ll want buffer days to actually see the peaks. 🏔️ Do: The two iconic 20km hikes are Laguna de los Tres (base of Mount Fitz Roy) and Laguna Torre (with views of Cerro Torre). For shorter options, try Loma del Pliegue Tumbado (best panoramic views), Mirador Los Cóndores & Las Águilas (sunset) and Chorrillo del Salto (easy waterfall walk). ⛺️ Camping: For sunrise at Fitz Roy, book a night at Camp Poincenot ($20 AUD pp). A glacier but without the hike ❄️ Welcome to Perito Moreno Glacier- our very first stop on our Patagonia road trip and already setting the bar impossibly high. Towering walls of blue ice, thunderous cracks echoing across the lake and views that honestly don’t feel real. No trekking required for this one 🙏🏼just stand, stare and try to take it all in 😍 Patagonia, you’ve got us hooked!!! We booked our tour through @getyourguide -it included pick up and drop off from our accommodation in El Calafate. We then booked a boat cruise across the lake (which we highly recommend!). The tour then takes you to the boardwalk area, where you can explore multiple paths and viewing platforms each offering a different incredible perspective of the glacier.
