This one has been around my studio for quite a while, I got so used to seeing it that it almost faded into the visual background until some friends came over and inspired me to finish and share it. The way I’m working in my studio is a bit slower now with a lot of simultaneous pieces, and all of the ideas beneath the work bleed into one another. Over time the pieces take on different layers of meaning, the title of this one comes from conversations with my partner 💜

Inspired by pre-Columbian objects, plant magic and some of the beautiful natural world I was lucky to experience in Peru. Big cats are understood to represent the world as we perceive it in this domain in Andean cosmovision, and I encountered their image represented countless times across the country. I felt deeply humbled by the vast richness of the ancient cultures of Peru and reminded of what a brief moment we occupy in the grand arc of time.
This piece was painted alongside some of the most kindhearted women from all over Latin America and beyond during the days leading up to International Women’s day in Lima, Peru. It was such a pleasure to share with them and lift each other up. I’m very grateful for the experience - gracias amigas❣️
