RCA summer School 2026
13th-17th July
/study/programme-finder/architecture-summer-school/
It is our third year teaching at the @rca_soa Summer School ✍️ We would like to invite you to become part of an intensive platform for critical thinking, experimental practice, and portfolio development. Designed for students and professionals who wants to approach the architectural and design field - the programme offers a unique opportunity to strengthen your portfolio while engaging with contemporary spatial and cultural questions.
Through a combination of research-based methodologies and operative drawing techniques, participants will develop new ways of thinking, representing, and communicating ideas. The summer school encourages interdisciplinary exchange, collaborative exploration, and rigorous discussion, creating an environment where critical inquiry and creative production intersect.
We will be joined with some extraordinary guests and lecturers - whether you are preparing for postgraduate applications, advancing your professional profile, or expanding your creative practice, the RCA Summer School provides the tools, mentorship, and intellectual framework to challenge conventions and refine your voice within an international community of emerging practitioners and thinkers.
Roman Foraging is exhibited at the Rocca Pia in Tivoli until the 7th of June! Curated by @michelacarlafalcone , alongside some wonderful work by @laquilarealeartenatura - 🌱
Roman Foraging asks the viewer to stay active, aware of its surroundings - to walk toward the outside, toward their own outer part of the Rome —wandering with places that seem abandoned, but in reality, often, are simply forgotten. Traces of an unfinished past that can be transformed into a filter for possible futures.
The film attempts to gently peer into these islands, to
interpret a changing landscape. Roman Foraging
portrays new ways of being together, where conviviality becomes an exceptional tool for building new opportunities for inclusion in the city and its landscapes.
We would like to invite you on Wednesday afternoon to the @aabookshop for the Launch of Performing Architecture on the 29th of April at 6PM!
Last year, we were part of Performing Architecture: a citywide festival launched in Milan through the collaboration between @base_milano and @dopo.space which engaged five districts in the southern suburbs – Corvetto, Chiaravalle, Stadera, Barona and Tortona in Milan – 5 artists and designers have been engaging through performances, installations, and public actions over the course of a year.
The neighbourhoods involved in the festival hosted a site-specific intervention—a temporary installation—designed by an architect and a performer in collaboration with a local organisation rooted in the area. We have been working in collaboration with Luca Boffi @alberonero_ and @terzo_paesaggio in Macchine da Festa.
We finally have the chance to present our work in a book published by dpr-barcelona and edited by Salvatore Peluso. Lemonot will be in conversation with @lindipietro and @alessandropasero . See you at 6PM on the 29th April at the @aaschool
Live Camp-ing
During Milan Design Week 2026, together with the @rca_soa students, we have been transforming the rooftop of @base_milano - as part of the ongoing Lemonot’s collaboration as Artisti Associati - into a place to experiment with multiform practices of radical conviviality.
Together we builded a temporary community: for seven days, they will act as sensible observers and embodied researchers, experiencing and at the same time investigating the peculiar, trans-territorial and, for many reasons, controversial inhibiting processes that characterise the city of Milan during such a peculiar moment as its annual @isaloniofficial

From survey to mapping as a critical practice.
A/P Project – an interdisciplinary collective by Maya Alam and Daniele Profeta – presents a research trajectory that moves from architecture toward geography and cartography, exploring multimedia tools capable of capturing the complexity of relationships between space and its inhabitants.
The presentation includes work-in-progress materials from their collaboration with the Osservatorio Sant’Anna (OSA) and will be followed by a conversation with Sabrina Morreale and Lorenzo Perri (Lemonot), former fellow at #ScuolaPiccolaZattere.

In the past ten years we have been framing architecture as a form of action that operates where spatial practices become performative and overlap with relational art.
Convivial landmarks which through their temporary essence they come moments of interaction, of play - a different gaze to perceive reality. We designed urban devices, where the architecture becomes wearable, where bodies move and activate the sites.
We crafted fragments playing at different scales to engage with multiple audiences and we learned from the surroundings, using some projects as prototypes for other ones.. we used architecture to display other types of dwellings and we defined new opportunities for convivial engagement, empowering alternative narratives and unexpected interactions in the public space.
It has been a wonderful journey, to many more!
Thank you @lidia_gasperoni for this invite @bartlett_dfpi 🌟
Thank you Lorenzo Perri of Lemonot for sharing a decade of work and reflections with us.
The lecture presented a practice grounded in site, material, and collective use, shaped by an understanding of convivialism as the practice and politics of living together. From the inclined glass display structure in Castelbuono to participatory pavilions, the Venice Biennale film on landscape and food systems, and reconfigurable installations such as the modular sofa, the projects approached public space as a relational condition requiring intimacy, negotiation, and shared capacity.
Across these works, everyday objects and materials became spatial devices, showing how architecture can operate as a relational and performative tool shaped by bodies, and daily life.
This event is presented in partnership with Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Bangkok.

Istituto Italiano di Cultura Bangkok
📣 We cordially invite you to the lecture
“Performative Bodies” by Lemonot
A journey across the projects developed by Lemonot during the last 10 years - framing architecture as a form of action that operates where spatial practices become performative and overlap with relational art.
A series of drawings, short films, public places, exhibitions, scenographies, inhabitable sculptures and party machines - that explores the politics of conviviality, aiming to define new opportunities for convivial engagement, empowering alternative narratives and unexpected interactions between multiple bodies within our contemporary world(s).
🗓️Monday, 2 March 2026
