3D Artist Demo Reel
This is somehow the first demo reel that I’ve made to date. There’s a few edits I want to make, and as you all know, this will be a constant work in progress. This edit just spoke to me.
It’s also pretty wild that all but two of these projects were from this past year.

I recreated the “Furni” scene from David Fincher’s Fight Club (1999) in Blender.
This was for my final project in Visual Effects 101 at SCAD. The goal was to recreate a movie scene with 1:1 accuracy.
I knew that this project would require extra time, so I started the project early during week 2, giving me about 8 weeks to perfect the animation. The smart thing to do would have been to kitbash the apartment, but I struggled to find furniture models that matched the original. So, I ended up modeling about 90% of the objects in the room, which allowed for increased accuracy and flexibility.

OnePlus Buds 4 Spec Renders
I modeled these OnePlus earbuds for @jdyurrita for an upcoming spec project, and I decided to make a few renders of my own to show off the model.
My goal for these renders was to accentuate the elegant design and texture of the earbuds using high key lighting. I felt that the cool blue light complimented the dark gray plastic and created a glowing almost pearlescent effect that made them pop out of the frame.

I was flipping through an issue of @openhousemagazine at a coffee shop when I came across photographs by @luisgarvan of a guest house designed by @perez_palacios_aa and @vipp
I was so inspired by the structure that I wanted to replicate the minimalist form and earthy materials in 3D.
I made this for my Digital Lighting and Rendering class, so a main focus of mine was creating interesting and dynamic lighting that created a mood, told a story, and created a focal point.

All summer my minds been full of ideas yet I’ve had little to no time for personal projects, year 3 of college begins in exactly a week, and I’m just eager to finally get my hands dirty.
It’s always so refreshing to do quick pointless projects like this one though. It reminds me to not overthink my work and to let things flow more naturally.

At the start of this year during my VFX 101 class at #SCAD we were tasked with recreating a movie scene in 3D. This project was an incredible learning experience and I am still blown away by how faithful the recreation is to the original shot.
Hopefully I made David Fincher Proud.
