โFrom the Abyss, in the age before the darkness bore name or form, came Amut, Darkest Mother, greatest of the Ancients. The unyielding void bent around her like a Veil, trembling; for within her vastness were cradled the seeds of the cosmos โ each one a slumbering world, shrouded in a dream of its own becoming.โจ
And when a dream grew too heavy, Amut drew forth its vessel from her breast and broke it upon the stillness โย its shell shattered in a single, sovereign act. From within that nascent chrysalis spilled light, and sound; and thus were the stars awakened.
And in that first intrusion upon silence, the Abyss listened.โ

As vulnerable as it is to share, this hidden world is where I safeguard my grief, my love, my power, my dreams, my connection to my cultureโฆ It is my tether, itโs what feeds my spirit within the gathering dark. I hope that by sharing it, in some small way, it can do the same for you.

โSoon after that first break in silence, there came another: a rhythm, rising from within the hollow of Amutโs breast. A heartbeat, distant yet immense, swelling in the Void like an unending sea. And at its calling, the first of her daughters took shape, drawn forth from the rippling dark. One by one they were summoned, each an echo of Amutโs will, carved into being, until the Abyss was no longer empty.
And Amut, in reverent benediction, parted from herself the hallowed instruments of their becoming; severed from her own flesh, and placed into the keeping of her daughters. And she beckoned them to play.โจโจTheir first recital was a meager, clangorous din against the vastness of Amutโs beating. Yet as their chaos met her rhythm, a faint light began to flicker at their core.โ

Part II โ The Prelude, the central piece of The First Symphony triptych, serves as the spiritual anchor of this creation story because itโs the genesis of the Primeval Mothers and the making of my world.
The third and final part of this piece is already in the works, and once completed will allow me to assemble the final triptych โ both as one large tapestry, as well as individual tapestries depicting each scene.

feeling good in my art โ feeling good in my body
started weight training a month ago, already looking and feeling stronger โ have also been reinvesting my energy into my art, falling back in love with transmuting visions of my inner world into a tangible practice. my creative process is feeling more fun and authentic than it ever has, and I think it really shows. excited for new growth this next year, within and without. i plan to share more art in the coming months, despite my conflicted feelings about this app in the age of AI, so stay tuned for that if you like. love u. x
