Had an amazing time perfoming #adizokan with @torontosymphony and @redskyperformance , truly has been a blessing to dance alongside some deadly dancers aswell. 🧡Grateful to be alive and celebrating this way of life. September 30th marked Truth and Reconciliation Day, and with that I thought & prayed for my grandparents who attended residential schools. Every indigenous person within canada has been affected directly or indirectly from these traumas. I wanted to thank @redskyperformance , @torontoargos & @tocouncilfire for letting me showcase my dancing.

Haven’t been to Winnipeg to dance since I first got into junior adult categories at 18, it was good energy all weekend. Definitely recommend coming out all ya pw ppl.

I had no idea what I was signing up for when @nimkii_ called me to dance at a folk fest.
Solid 16 hours drive over and a close call to crashing from a massive storm - we made it to KC.

It’s really hard to put into words how surreal the experience was, but we also heard there was a little one day powwow in Lawrence, 45 minutes away in Haskell university, so we had to make an appearance- and still be late for grand entry… as always. 😂
.
Overall I’m beyond grateful for the experience & being in a space dedicated to people and their love for music, the arts and sharing stories. It’s inspiring to witness the work that artists from all over the world bring to the table.
I ❤️ indigenous representation in movies/ TV series. Been a huge fan of marvel for years & im glad to see some of our own superhero’s! 💪🏽
Experience is surreal seeing so much talent from our own communities coming up and taking the industry by storm. 👏🏽🎬
2023 was filled with a lot of lessons, but I’m glad to be getting into 2024 with a more clear vision.
Checked off travelling to NYC from the bucket list this past year, and I’m happy with the experiences to come ahead.
