“I’ve seriously begun to consider working towards an epic story.” An artificial camera navigates through a series of video game levels inspired by the writings of Donald Rumsfeld, Arno Brekker, Cosima Wagner, Elliot Rodger, Yukio Mishima, and Petrarch. Mannheim explores the links between fascism and high fantasy- how fantasy can dramatically shape our private and public worlds."

Gregory Nachmanovitch (b 1997, USA) is a Charlottesville, Virginia, raised filmmaker, game designer, and sculptor. Nachmanovitch makes films inside video game engines, often exploring the power dynamics of gameplay mechanics. Nachmanovitch’s work questions how masculinity, agency, gaming, and fantasy are intertwined with radical political movements and historical narratives. Manifesto, film, and literature are repossessed as a means of exploring the condition of the contemporary subject: terminally online, and perpetually saturated with media and games. Currently based in Berlin, previously based in New York City and Glasgow where he studied fine art at the Pratt Institute and the Glasgow School of Art, respectively.
