We’ll be working and learning alongside an amazing team at Kartemquin and our filmmaker peers @msprairierose and @treentreen333 on their badass film Riders of The Dawn!

When it comes to documentaries that examine the intersection of sports, identity and personal growth, their film Hoop Dreams stands in a league of its own—a trailblazing film for generations of viewers and documentarians.

With all the things happening in the world, laying in bed with Grace, watching the birds brings me some peace.
Definitely a huge uptick in activity since the snowstorm. I think normal food sources are buried. Seen a lot of birds I don’t normally see, like robins and palm warblers and even a black eyed junco. Fairly certain these particular shadows are of a jay, a sparrow and a morning dove (the usual suspects). Too lazy to get up and check. All we’ve got is a tiny fire escape but it’s enough space to hang a bird feeder and a little plate for nuts to make sure the neighborhood eats.
It’s cold out there! Be nice to your bird friends :)

We are proud to publicly announce the crowdfunding campaign for our film The Undefeated! Over a year and a half of work (so far), following the incredible stories of our native athletes and the generations before them that fought to keep their way of life intact despite all odds.
The brainchild of Donnie Wetzel Jr., founder of the Montana Indian Athletic Hall of Fame and current tribal liaison for the MT department of labor, our film centers on the power of identity, and the role of sports in native cultural resilience.
Co-produced by Blackfeet director and producer Ivan MacDonald (winner of the 2024 Big Sky Award for Bring Them Home) our film has been gaining traction, selected as a recipient for this year's Big Sky Film Grant. It's been a labor of love and collaboration that has led to countless positive experiences, friendships and coordinating mentorship directly between our youth athletes and professional athletes.
In a world where it feels negativity can be so ubiquitous, we are fighting to spotlight a positive narrative that is severely undertold about the modern native experience. There is beauty and strength and vibrance and culture that is coming back stronger than ever!
