OOTD… week, month, wheneva: saw theee grammy award winning Durand Bernarr at the Blue Note and baby he tore! went on a solo date had a mocktail, hopped on over to one of my sisters jobs @ joey dtla & had another solo dinner date add the mocktail. she popped in and out to chitchat with me. i ate so much, food was delicioso! shout out to the chef overall bbbbery cutesy night.

honestly i was going to keep this journey b/w me and God, but im having so much fun trying alternative drinks — i figured, id let yall in on it.
this journey’s very personal and delicate to me, its less about discipline and more about being a living/walking prayer. i’ve watched so many of the ppl i love (including myself) self harm or avoid presence through alcoholism — this is not judgement though it may have come across as such before, this is a real sadness and anxiety transmuted into compassion and courage. i originally thought it was going to be a silent protest but im learning it’s my universal prayer, embodied.
also i wanted a song but it was gon mute my sistar telling us about her beautiful concoctions

quick story & fun fact: i’m a listener, but for a year i couldn’t hear, i felt lost and fear for the first half and then the second i just allowed myself to get lost trusting that i hadn’t been abandoned & that id find my way back — in that time i played adventured explored i let go & let the ppl that love me hold me in my uncertainty. during this holy month, im feeling my ability to hear return & that’s a happiness i cant explain. i wanna remain here for as long as possible, i wanna strengthen my capacity, so i listen attentively and obediently.
i’m in a fight against sickness & wellness is the only way to win. i got someone that depends on me, i must win.

in honor of the black community
went to paradise to bring my baby into her 8th trip around Sol. 8 full and abundant, and that’s exactly what this trip was. showered with so many gifts from the water, land, animals & people of maui. this is one she won’t forget, this is one we’ll be unwrapping gifts from for years to come.
we culminated our trip with a gratitude ceremony, returning shells and coral we’d collected over the days and the leis we were gifted upon arrival.
i’ll post one more thread from our trip and then i plan to make a scrap book of pics stories and affirmations as another gift to my girlie pop of her 8 and infinite birthday.
