This project has lived in my head and on my hard drive for so long that it feels almost surreal to finally release it into the wild. Thank you for receiving and inhabiting these songs in whatever way feels right to you. I’m grateful they no longer belong to me alone 🙏

All For That One Time holds many different meanings, but at its core, for me, it’s about finding the balance between the urge to explore and the comforting feeling of returning home. And now I’m quite happy to say—I feel @ home!

Very happy to announce that @_holyoke_ is the newest signing on SYRUP. Holyoke is the alias of Silvan van der Zwaag, hailing from the beautiful city of Rotterdam and is inspired by the great nineties, grunge as well as the rise of electronic music. Floating somewhere between Boards of Canada, Mum, Four Tet and Oneohtrix Point Never. Holyoke adeptly balances the urge to explore, and the comforting sensation of returning home. His productions, often described as warm and comforting, are set against a backdrop of dreampop with a groove, mystical storytelling, and playful arrangements.
Holyoke’s first single, “Pedestrian,” embarks the listener on a sonic exploration of detachment and disconnection in modern society. While entrenched in the realms of music production, Holyoke paints a vivid picture of his personal journey through the bustling streets, feeling alienated amidst the relentless cadence of everyday life.
“I’m wandering from nine to five.”

I’m in Brighton this week and while I was watching the sea from the pier, I decided to shoot a little video for the remix I made for @_holyoke_ which is out now, I hope you like it! ❤️
For the remix I cut up some amazing layers from the original track, added bass and chords with my beloved @dreadbox.synthesizers Murmux Adept, and I recorded some piano for the piece as well.

This Friday, we’re releasing the final and complete remix tape of my album!
It’s been soo special getting to collaborate with some of my favorite artists, old friends / new friends, people I deeply admire.
Hearing my own musical collages transformed through the visions and sounds of others has been more than beautiful. I hope you’ll like it too!
Exactly one year after the release, this officially marks the end of the journey of this album. On to the new adventures!!!

This Friday I’m releasing the next episode in the series of remixes. This one is extra special, as it’s a remix by one of my absolute favorite artists: @salamirosejoelouis
I’ve been a massive fan of her for a long time, her album Lorings, released on @brainfeederrecords last year, was my most played album of the year and had such a huge impact on me.
To have her reinterpret one of my tracks feels kind of surreal to be honest!

Since we’ve played together before, I knew it was going to be a fun night. But I didn’t expect how special it turned out to be.
Shows like these remind me how much I love improvisation: There’s a different kind of tension and energy compared to a prepared show, more risk, more focus, more listening, more exploration. So much interaction happens all at the same time.
The fact that this moment exists only once, that it will never happen in exactly the same way again, makes it even more powerful.
