D&D = [D]ave & [D]oug
very important recording studio in hip hop’s history, producing many classics during the so-called golden age of hip hop in the 90’s. The works by DJ Premier and engineer:Eddie Sancho are particularly bright. Some of artists who have recorded:Gang Starr, Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z, Jeru The Damaja, Group Home, KRS-ONE, Black Moon, Smif-n-Wessun, BIG L, M.O.P. & Rakim.
In 2002 DJ Premier bought studios and renamed it HeadQCourterz in honor to his friend with the same name who died the same year.
Unfortunately due to the building reconstruction, studio’s final day:Jan 7, 2015. However, even though the physical form is gone, D&D is forever.
