I got to record and mix Left Open, a 4 song EP by Damien Jurado, out today at damienjurado.bandcamp.com. Loved this magical session and these songs, especially “Magazine,” one of my favorite Jurado tunes.
“Bella’s Lullaby” and “I Will Still Be Dead,” two previously unreleased songs I made with Damien Jurado, are now streaming on damienjurado.substack.com posted with some writing by Damien about his process. One was written for Twilight, the other for The Walking Dead. Recorded and mixed by me in 2012 and 2013, strings on “I Will Still Be Dead” by Sam Anderson. Love these two, glad they’re seeing the light of day 🧛🏻🧟♂️
Congrats to my friend @denisonwitmer on his gorgeous new record, produced by @sufjan and @andyrecording . I got to handle some vocal production and some remote vocal coaching on a lot of these tunes and it’s always a joy with Denison. His kindness and thoughtfulness really shine through in his writing, and it’s an honor to know him and make art together. 💜
