Confluence. Fox Point, Providence, RI. 2023.
Thank you to @avenuepvd and @traderjoes for the amazing opportunity. @chachihiphop@capeverdeanmuseumdotorg and @tomaquagmuseum for their help and direction with elements of this mural. @lookalivesigns and @inoperable for their patience, hard work and squirrel brushes. You all deserve a world of praise and I thank you deeply for your help. Also thank you to @adlersri for the amazing color matching and @montanacans for my weapon of choice.
There will be more information about the particulars and content of this mural in the coming weeks so until then enjoy these photos.
Beyond flattered to have been asked to design and paint this piece honoring Pawtucket as well as the visionary artist, designer and urbanist, Morris Nathanson. (The Lino cut in the upper left corner is a replica of a smaller work done by Nathanson)
Nathanson, a son of Pawtucket, recognized early on in his professional career the benefits that the former mills and factories offered to artists. He, along with his wife Phyllis and others, are responsible for several zoning changes which ushered in the first live/work spaces in Pawtucket giving new life to factories that once sat abandoned. His list of achievements goes much further than that however but I urge you to research him yourself.
Having taken the bus to Pawtucket from the age of 16 I was witness to much of his work without knowing it. Things that inspired and piqued my curiosity were put in play by him and the community he is still a part of. To be able to give back to this creative community all these years later is one of the biggest gifts I’ve ever been given.

‘Block Calico’ for #vivamuralsfallriver as part of the #beyondwallstour2022. Photos by @tostfilms .
This is my largest solo project to date and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Thank you to everyone involved especially the @beyondwallslynn team, @addfuel@adreswashere and @kevinledo It was an absolute pleasure getting to meet and work with you all.
‘Block Calico’ focuses on the block printed and woven textile patterns of Fall River Massachusetts. Produced from the mid 1800’s until roughly 1940, block printed textiles were an aside to the single most dominant export of the city, print cloth. The patterns found in this mural were produced at and/or by The Algonquin Printing Company, Durfee Mills, Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates and lastly American Printing Company which could be found in its former home at the end of Anawan Street just down the block. These vibrant and rich patterns speak to the character and history of the city while still being abstract enough as to not be overtly obvious. I think it’s easier to look forward when you are confident or settled in your past.
Thank you to @vivafallriver@beyondwallslynn and @f_r_a_c_c

Last one of these from a series of ten I made last year(?) that I'm going to post on here. Check my website to see them all together and if you're interested shoot me a DM to purchase. They look great in a clean home and add a little "urban blight" to any environment.
@deathkittydojo got a new mural on their back wall this week so people have something nice to look at while they're getting choked. They also offer yoga and fitness services in addition to jiu jitsu and I can't speak highly enough of both Paul and the other folks who I interacted with while I've been there. Ride the lightning.
"It might take a lifetime." detail. Don't really want to post the entire thing on here because then there's no incentive to go anywhere else to see it ever and also ai. Going forward if you like what you see posted here full works will be posted on
