On Saturday 14th February, longtime studio partners @_frontbench and @birrell___ will share a booth for the first time, headlining our EP release party at Next Door Records Two.
Front Bench’s DJ sets heavily incorporate his own productions and unreleased material from across the label - their unique tone always present whatever the mood. With sets at Lion & Lamb, Gaffe, Carpet Shop and The Goose under his belt, the 199 co-founder kicks off 2026 with a special night to mark his debut vinyl release.
Now based in Manchester where he has co-founded @__headspin , Birrell has honed a sound that is adventurous yet consistent, circling the acid-y outskirts of techno and electro and pulling from a range of eras and influences. He has proven a deft mood-setter in warm-ups for Binh, Raphael Carrau and Vass, as well as in peak-time slots and festival B2Bs.
