Francis Burne and Field Labs collaborated with @hydrotasmania and @pedderwildernesslodge on the redevelopment of the Gordon Wing Accommodation at Strathgordon. To honour the original architecture, accommodation modules were prefabricated in Kingston and then delivered to the remote site. Building Elements and material choices were made to integrate with the natural surroundings and achieve the project’s sustainability objectives. The 14 new suites offer an enhanced accommodation experience taking in the breathtaking sights of the wilderness area around Lake Pedder.
