Good Luck to Kalan this weekend up in Queensland for the Hia Apprentice of the year!
Kalan has grown so much as a carpenter over the last 3 years, whilst still happy to dig a hole he can turn his hand all aspects of the trade. 🔨🪚

Progress of our at Clifton project. It will be a flash visitor accommodation with beautiful views over Fredrick Henry and Storm Bay! We are also creating a new space under the existing house.
Last week we handed over this beautiful home back to its owners, what was once a small one bedroom shack now has a new wing adding two bedrooms an en-suite, Bathroom and laundry. In the original zone a new kitchen was built remaining open plan to the lounge. It’s been a while since we have worked on an extension/ renovation, and as one would expect there was a bunch of head scratching, decisions on the fly and hidden surprises but we are really happy with the finished product. Thanks to all who helped out along the way! ✌🏼
Handover week.. 🎉One last push to the finish line! We are really happy with the result of this extension/renovation, I’m pretty sure our the owners will be too! 😊
I’ve been tapping away at this ceiling for a while now (whenever I have a spare minute) and finally just put the final batten up! I think it will set this BnB off perfectly!👌Now for the renaming 800 nail holes to putty! 😳
What a great night at the HIA awards last night! It was really nice to have a night out with our team. Kalan took out the Apprentice of the year award 🥇 and whilst we didn’t take the win on our entry we did receive a High Commendation for the Tiger Head build. Unfortunately Maggie didn’t turn famous overnight but she seems unfazed about losing to a Labrador..🤷🏽♂️🤣 Thanks to Luke and Kalan and all of our trades for all of your hard work!
Thanks to all of our crew and suppliers for helping bring this project to the beautiful home it is today! We are thrilled with the outcome and so are the owners! Calling past the other week to see the landscaping flourishing really ties it all in. Fingers crossed for a win at the HIA awards in October. 🤞🏼
Over the last year or so we have been building a second house on our property (lucky kids of ours) it’s been a great fun project for both Cat and I. I’m really happy with how it’s shaping up. I think the Shou Sugi Ban cladding has a beautiful effect on the building. I’m really happy with the burnished floors as well. Curved walls in the shower is a first for me but I think it is worth the extra load of hours to construct 😳. Looking forward to the joinery installation, It should be quite special 👌
