resistir (2026)

MILES
Werkstrasse 9
Kriens

Why do I have to be naked for this?
What we see here: a naked body. Proud, thoughtful, hand relaxed – covering the genital area. One leg on the edge of the bathtub, the upper body stretching confidently towards the viewer. The nipple censored because the female breast is still sexualised – not only on Instagram. But otherwise? Nothing. No reference to sexuality or eroticism. Just a naked body, nothing more.
Dear people, this body cries out for the desexualisation of naked bodies – especially those perceived as female. For a long time, women were denied access to their own bodies: in medicine, in art, in politics. Only in the last few decades has something slowly begun to open up, and slowly it is becoming clear: gender is diverse, and so are people. Yes, research is also being done on biologically female bodies – and yes, they function a little differently than men's. Surprise!
We are privileged – because the situation is different around the world. According to UNICEF, over 230 million women and girls live with the consequences of genital mutilation, and around 4 million more girls are at risk every year. One in five women worldwide is married before her 18th birthday. Around 1 in 3 women worldwide experience violence in relationships, and around 1 in 5 women are sexually abused or raped in their lifetime. Women do the majority of unpaid care work and earn less than men on average.
Equality therefore means physical self-determination, respect and freedom to deal with bodies without automatically sexualising them. A naked body is not a statement about sexuality. Rather, it is a statement about freedom, visibility and equality.
And yes – this is just a fragment of the issues that concern me and are close to my heart. Stay alert!
