ONLINE TRAINING - Neck Injury, Headaches, and Weight Loss RESULTS Before July 2023 - Neck pain 7/10 - Headaches everyday - Knee pain 6/10 - Weight 95kg After September 2025 - Neck pain 0/10 - No headaches - Knee pain 1/10 - Weight 79kg Sovin @sovin_verma_ came to me initially to seek out a solution to mitigate his neck pain from enduring a traumatic neck injury from a snowboarding accident. Because he was in so much pain dealing with chronic, daily headaches, he could not exercise and he struggled to lose weight despite trying extreme dieting measures and yielding very minimal results as his nervous system was in a chronic state of stress, disrupting his ability to metabolize what he consumed. We have finally reached a point where Sovin does not feel any neck pain anymore, does not experience headaches, and allowed him to keep weight off sustainably without having to resort to extreme diet protocols. Testimonial: “I had neck pain after having a neck injury during snowboarding. I had tried visiting doctors, chiropractors, physio, but nothing really worked. I felt hopeless and didn’t know what to do until I stumbled across @functionalpatterns . Because of my kinesiology background in college, it made sense as to how the whole body is related rather than focusing on one area in isolation. I have to look at whole structure. Thanks to Eric and FP, he helped me explore and fix my dysfunctions. FP saved my life, as a youngster I had lost hope in my future.” #functionalpatterns @theleverking @fp.evidence #projectfunction #neckpainrelief #headacherelief #weightlosssupport #practicebasedevidence #victoriabccanada🇨🇦

CLIENT SCAPULAR WING POSTURE RESULTS Before February 2021 - 175lbs Low back pain - 9/10 Neck pain - 8/10 Hip pain - 7/10 After May 2024 - 160lbs Back pain - 0/10 Neck pain - 0/10 Hip pain - 0/10 Bradley came to seek help for his low back, shoulder, and neck pain. He found very little relief as his pain started to immobilize him even when he was in a resting position. His job as a plumber required him to be quite physical in order to dig trenches, carry heavy and awkward materials, and fit into uncomfortable positions to do his job. After working with me for the past three years, we have been able to get him completely pain-free and maintain a higher output by working more hours throughout the day with little to no discomfort and without the need for stimulants. He will be attending Human Foundations this year to become an FP practitioner as he wants to help others improve their health as he has experienced through training and following the FP protocols these past three years. Client Testimonial: “Before discovering @functionalpatterns training, I sought relief through 6 months of regular visits to an RMT, but the pains kept returning. My pain had become so severe that it impacted every aspect of my life. At one point, I was experiencing pain regardless of whether I was sitting or in motion, making it incredibly difficult to enjoy time with my wife and our dog. The constant discomfort was taking a toll on my overall well-being, both physically and emotionally. Despite doing traditional bodybuilding workouts for five years, including exercises such as deadlifts, barbell back squats, barbell bench press, and bent over rows, I found that these traditional weightlifting methods did not alleviate my symptoms. In fact, they may have even exacerbated them. FP has changed my life in many ways. Mainly, my body is now pain-free, and I feel stronger than I ever have in my life. I have grown to respect my body and myself. On top of all this, I have developed a strong appreciation for the diligent work of FP practitioners.” #functionalpatterns #fpisthestandard #fpresults #victoriabc #posture #scapularstability #lowbackpain

@naudiaguilar I have several disagreements with HOW influencers approach training, as well as the WHY behind their methods. Before I could truly get a grasp on how to fix problems with people, I needed a conceptual framework that would orient me to a path that would yield consistent outcomes. The @functionalpatterns First Four were what enabled me to know where to go with training. My conclusions up until now are that if humans can master STANDING, WALKING, RUNNING, AND THROWING, every motion after that you choose to learn becomes substantially easier to master. The reason for that comes back to the fact that these four functions define us biomechanically. In modern times, we have distorted ourselves away from our biological roots, consequently leading us to where we are now: anxious, weak, neurotic, in pain, dehydrated, sick, injured, depressed, etc. My hypothesis is that most conditions humans deal with are the byproduct of not getting back to these roots. In application, if the exercises you do happen to not build on the sequential motions that created the human organism, they will act to counter to the roots of what make us who we were at our best. That said, this still only accounts for the why. The how after understanding the why is completely different. I’ve been copied on the why for over a decade, and no one finds the formula. Why? That’s a story for another time. #functionalpatterns

🏋🏽DEEP SQUATS DECONDITION YOUR ABILITY TO SPRINT 🏃🏽 Forcing a deep squat position is commonly associated with improved range of motion to facilitate better sit to stand mechanics. Unfortunately, all this is doing is overly lengthening ligaments and tendons around your joints (flaccidity) as this is usually done passively (through gravity) and ultimately diminishes force production in these ranges of motion, sacrificing your ability to sprint. Your ability to squat into deep ranges of motion is a byproduct of learning how to sprint well and training in ways that respect your gait cycle. Sprint better, squat better. @functionalpatterns @rg.bell #sprintingisking #functionalpatterns #fpisthestandard #flaccidity #rangeofmotion #deepsquat #sprinting

@functionalpatterns Vector Course was unbelievable. Thank you @naudiaguilar for providing me the opportunity to help make a responsible and sustainable difference in the world. REPOST - Vector training course was surreal. I hate when you guys make me cry. Seriously… I just think of all the disappointments that people have as they get older with the world, and feel the pressure to not be one. When I see people legit enjoying what I’ve worked on and that I wasn’t a let down, it just hits me to the core. I’m so proud of all of you and appreciate how ham you all go. This doesn’t feel real and if it turns out it never was, I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest. As much of a pain in the ass my life has been, it would be hard to convince me that anyone is luckier than me too. I want to spread that luck. Let’s keep going my people! #functionalpatterns

ELASTIC RECOIL Every cell in the body has elastic recoil properties that helps balance the transmission of forces to determine the shape, stability, and adaptability of the cell within their environments. Mechanical forces play an important role in physiological processes that the cell must go through. If the cell does not have sufficient elastic recoil properties, the cell cannot function optimally during these processes and undergo deformation. This holds true from each individual cell all the way up to the muscles and fascia that holds our structure up against gravity. If our muscles and fascia cannot function optimally because they lack these elastic recoil properties, they cannot act like slings and springs and cause our structure to become deformed. By training the FP First 4 (standing, walking, running, throwing), your tissues develop the ability to adapt to the forces of the environment (gravity) by rebounding and recoiling against those forces to help your body move better and get out of pain. Having all muscles in our bodies act like springs cooperatively, the body can access power, agility, flexibility, stability, and mobility all at the same time. #elasticrecoiltraining #fpisthestandard

@naudiclips Training should relate to our biological blueprint - meaning the native functions of the human organism: standing, walking, running, and throwing. As industry trends started catching up to the idea of gait-related training, we’re seeing the manifestation of more and more people adopting the principles without the supporting precision required to create meaningful results and changes. If you approach Fitness with the right intent, but the wrong application, it can be detrimental. Look at the atrophy (muscle loss) of certain figures promoting gait-related training and it’s apparent what a lack of precision will result in for you. If you’re going to do it, do it right. Do @functionalpatterns and heed the advice of CEO and founder @naudiaguilar to be PRECISE in your application. #humanbiologicalblueprint #trainright #gaitcycle #injuryprevention #performanceenhancement #functionalfitness #functionaltraining #functionalpatterns #fpisthestandard #fpallday #fpalldayeveryday #gait #gaitmechanics #relatetogait

@naudiclips A lot of people in the fitness industry talk about a “mind-muscle connection”, where people want to CONSCIOUSLY CONTRACT a muscle. When we’re talking about improving the economy of movement however, we want to UNCONSCIOUSLY contract muscles as it’s relevant to the specific function of the movement we’re trying to improve. Do you brace your core actively as you walk? Do you have to flex your bicep when you’re pumping your arms to run? Do you have to think about clenching your butt cheeks forward when you’re extending your legs behind you to propel you as you run? We are looking for UNCONSCIOUS COMPETENCY in the contraction of muscles, which is why @functionalpatterns orients its resistance training around force vectors and dynamic/integrated movements that teach the body to fire muscles in sequences relevant to how muscles should behave in response to their native function. @naudiclips What many people tout as “medicinal” is typically symptoms-relief oriented. Seldom does it address the systemic issues that cause the problems in the first place. It gets worse though- having a symptoms approach to dealing with problems often comes with its own set of new symptoms and problems to deal with. Coffee to deal with fatigue comes with the issue of decreased sleep quality and an insensitivity to your body’s need to rest (the core idea of how @naudiaguilar CEO/Founder of @functionalpatterns started the live stream that this clip is from). What side effects does using marijuana as medicine have? Surely without thinking too hard you could come up with some ideas of the downsides. Functional Patterns is a systems based approach, and it is medicinal for so many, in so many ways, because it deals with the blueprint of the total human organism. No bandaids, no shortcuts, a committed focus to the whole system and how it operates in harmony with its natural environment. @naudiclips Fat loss boils down to behaviours. Behaviours orient around how well we’re coping with our anxiety, and how honest we are about those coping strategies. If those coping strategies are dysfunctional, and we lie to ourselves about it, we’ll never solve the problem that we’re trying to solve. This extends beyond just fat loss. This is something you can extend to many areas of your life. Take it from CEO and @functionalpatterns founder @naudiaguilar : source out your anxiety, find your mental peace, fix your mechanics, and start behaving right so you don’t have to keep living a series of never ending coping strategies #fpisthestandard #fpallday #fpalldayeveryday #functionaltraining #functionalfitness #functionalpatterns #functionalpatternsresults #Nutrition #anxiety #copingskills #copingstrategies #copingmechanism #copingwithanxiety #behaviourism

@naudiclips From a perspective of species survival, the biological imperative incentives ENERGY EFFICIENCY. That means that were wired to acquire the maximum rewards/resources while exerting the minimal amount of effort. That imperative may have been beneficial for survival at one point in our evolution, but in modern day, it is easily one of our greatest detriments as human beings. It not only disincentivizes hard work physically, but also as it pertains to critical thinking- we err towards the lowest common denominator “easy answer” that allows us to outsource the difficult task of actually thinking for ourselves. This isn’t anyone’s “fault” - it’s just biology. But it IS our responsibility to be cognizant of this tendency in biological organisms and work around it in order for us to live healthy, functional lives in line with natural law. @naudiclips Want to be a “Truth Seeker”? Then do the following: - Learn about the laws of physics that we are all beholden to - understand how your physiology relates to those physical laws and incentives certain behaviours - Stop lying to yourself to justify your impulsive and/or indulgent behaviours - Start optimizing for efficiency as it pertains to the natural laws which dictate the reality you live in If it’s not mechanical (IE, physics), then it’s opinion. Wanna get REALLY woke? Wake up to reality and start doing FP. See the full context of this clip about how people are dishonest with themselves and sabotage their results in the full stream that CEO and Founder of @functionalpatterns @naudiaguilar did on effective and reliable fat loss. #fpallday #fpisthestandard #fpalldayeveryday #functionaltraining #functionalfitness #functionalpatterns #functionalmovement #Movement #biomechanics #gym #workouts #fatloss #truthseeker #truthseekers #conspiracy #conspiracytheory #wokeaf #selfawareness
