April 8th 2021 was the scariest day of life. I rushed her to ER and once we walked in they immediately knew what was wrong. All I heard was “We need an ambulance immediately, we need to transfer her to the ICU in Boston” the whole scene unfolded in slow motion, just like the movies. All I could muster up to say was “ is she going to die?”
Covid protocols were still in place so my husband wasn’t allowed to be in the ER with us. All I could do was pray the entire ambulance ride and ICU stay.
It’s been 5 years with thousands and thousands of pricks and injections, 5 years of ups and downs and struggles and challenges to over come.
But 5 years of watching a community help me with my baby.
Her Dad, who changed his entire career path to be able to stay close to home, her Grandparents, her uncles, Her Doctors, her school Nurse, her teachers and Principals. Her Coaches, My friends, Her friends. Her friends parents, everyone plays a roll and helps us take care of her. But most importantly SHE has grown so much in her own ability to take care of her self, even though she is so tired of this already. She carries on despite all the hardship she deals with everyday, all day. She’s a good kid, and a SUPERSTAR athlete, with so much potential for an amazing furure. I am so proud of ALL she is. Idk why this is her reality, I just know it’s going to be one hell of a story and testimony one day. ❤️

Taking a moment to honor the women these little girls have grown up to be. My sister was abandoned by our birth mother as a toddler. She was left with a neighbor and she never came back for her. She was placed in the NJ foster care system.
For me, I was born premature at just over 2 pounds with Cocaine in my system, not expected to make it. She escaped the hospital without being discharged. After spending some time in the NICU, I eventually was placed in the NJ foster care system too. You see, She also was a victim of being born to an addict mother. It goes back generations.
My sister and I are both mothers of 3 now, 2 of which are daughters. I am so proud of us for making sure that cycle ended with us. I am so so proud of the life you created for yourself @jreeder424 and the mother you are to my Nieces and nephew. And that little girl in these pics above, owns her own daycare, making sure the little babies are well taken care of ❤️
For me, Hair and Makeup has always been my outlet since I was a kid. I’m so thankful to have found that internal balance that allows peace in my spirit. When you hire me, you’re hiring that little girl ❤️
All the Glory to God. And to my Mom, the woman who Adopted us. A 3x cancer survivor who had grown kids of her own at the time and by far the strongest woman I know.
