The store will be closed this weekend (8th and 9th May) in order to prep for an exciting large install the following week.

We thought its about time we take you along to an install with us.
We were asked to design and make a plywood wall of storage and a kitchenette for a newly built garden room for some lovely clients. It was important that we maximised storage in this space. We also included a desk which can easily slot in and out of the unit.
The builders will be finishing off the tiling and plumbing soon. We are excited to see an update once all trades have vacated and our clients can move their things in.

We count ourselves very lucky when we get to work on a piece that we would love to have in our own home. This is definitely one of them!
Sapele veneer w/ solid sapele details. Stainless steel door fronts and shelf tops. The uprights are installed with button fix fittings and the shelves and cabinet can be raised or lowered to suit any new space.

Dave & Jess are a big part of the Stockport community. They have been an integral cog of the Underbanks regeneration and independent story over the last few years, working in and with local shops, past and present. Dave an experienced carpenter covering residential, commercial for shop fit outs and bespoke installations, Jess a skilled ceramicist, who’s also curated the shop instore. Middle Hillgate may not benefit from the same passing footfall as the Underbank so it’s really important that we support these businesses where we can when visiting Stockport. They’ve definitely earnt the success they are having right now, from taking the leap with a unit at lavenders brow then growing into a high street fronted unit to playing a role in many of the fit outs around Stockport high streets.
The shop is open Friday and Saturday 10-5pm. Then appointment only rest of the week as the workshop is in full swing. If you are making a leap into a new space or require some bespoke furniture, reach out and work with them. Give them a follow ! Next to Apple core cafe, so pop by after a coffee on a Friday or Saturday.

We are constantly thinking of ways to reduce waste in our work, and this might be favourite idea yet. Using offcuts from larger projects; they are chunky, nice to handle and look pretty good too
