This piece is a tribute to Diogo Jota and it’s something I don’t take lightly. Diogo’s passing came at the same time where I was losing my best friend.
I will never forget singing “Oh he wears the number twenty” at Anfield with my wife and parents. Even more, I will never forget the angst and excitement of watching, with Matt, West Brom be on the cusp of promotion year after year. Both taught me to cherish the memories made with the people we love. Both gone too soon.
I gave this piece to my childhood surfing buddy @_davisvasconcellos_ . He’s Portuguese and a proper red. He gets it.
