LIKE A PRAYER - Ekstaseübung, Schlager-Gebet, Emo-Standup, Tuntenbeschwörung. 108 Gefühle in einer Stunde. Zweimal 350 Menschen, die lachen und weinen. Albern und sehr ernst und alles dazwischen.
Was für ein Geschenk. Ich bin noch dabei, es auszupacken. Danke für all die wunderschönen Nachrichten die ich in der letzten Woche bekommen habe! Zum ersten Mal nach der Pandemie wieder in dem Maßstab auf der Bühne gewesen. Alles krass. Wow. Mehr!

Although I really love a full house and the feeling of being "sold out" every night, the intimacy of our final rehearsals with a smaller test audience is an experience that I cherish just as much.
It's vulnerable to show oneself in a space where there is much more focus on the individual - and the fear of creating a situation where someone might feel exposed was very present for me. But we were weaving a very subtle net of shared joy and looseness that very soon felt carefree, welcoming of weirdness, "uncool" dance moves, and the power of frailty.
I will never grow tired of the privilege to observe and lead a group from inhibition through ecstatic shyness to a situation where everybody's eyes sparkle with alivess. Much more than applause, that moment where people of all ages leave a show with an expanded inner glow, a very specific, palpable radiance and anchored in a breathing, sweating, humane body - that's what I work for.
„Solidarität heißt verstehen“ widmet sich der Frage, wie Leichte Sprache Theater radikal zugänglicher machen kann. Moderiert von der Dolmetscherin und Übersetzerin für Leichte Sprache Anne Leichtfuß diskutieren Johanna Kappauf, Jennifer Werres und Daniel Cremer, wie Verständlichkeit zur ästhetischen Entscheidung wird – und warum echte Teilhabe im Zuschauerraum mit Sprache beginnt.
